About the Job
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber to work on an ongoing lead pipework programme within the water industry.
The team will attend customer properties to carry out investigations to establish whether lead is present within the existing service pipework. The work will involve sampling and flushing services, alongside using specialist camera equipment inserted through the external stop tap to identify the material and condition of the existing pipework.
Plumber:
- Previous water industry experience is essential.
- Experience working with lead pipework or lead identification programmes.
- Experience carrying out water sampling and flushing services.
- Comfortable using specialist camera equipment through external stop taps to assist in identifying pipework materials.
- Responsible for carrying out the plumbing and investigation works.
- Professional and confident when working at customer properties.
- Will work as part of a team, supported by a Water Operative.
- Able to work effectively alongside the Water Operative to complete work safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 Plumbing – essential.
- Previous water industry experience.
- Experience with lead pipework or lead identification.
- Experience with water sampling and flushing services.
- Experience using cameras through external stop taps to help identify pipework materials.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, professional and safety-conscious.
- Comfortable working within customer properties and representing the company professionally.
